About the Bismarck Rural Fire Department
The Bismarck Rural Fire Department was established in 1953 by a small group of individuals dedicated to serving the communities they worked and lived in. Through the years the Fire department has grown is both size and service capabilities.
Our firefighting staff is trained to offer wild land and structural firefighting capabilities, heavy rescue and extrication, emergency medical response, ice and swift water rescue, and under water search and rescue.
The department is made up of both Volunteer and Full time staff. Station one is manned 24 hours a day 365 days a year.
The mission of the Bismarck Rural Fire Department is to provide superior service to the patrons of the Bismarck Rural Fire Protection District in an effort to protect their lives, property, and environment.
