How to Join The Bismarck Rural Fire Department
Part Time Firefighter
Bismarck Rural Fire Department is actively recruiting individuals that want to serve the Bismarck Rural Fire Protection District. We will keep applications on file for one year. The requirements and application are for a Paid-On-Call Firefighter:
Requirements for joining the BRFD Minimum age of 18 years
-Must live within the fire district or City of Bismarck
-Any medical training (EMT-B, first responder, etc.) and/or firefighting experience (FF I, FF II, etc.) is preferred but not required
-Must be able to attend department trainings and meetings
-Must complete FF I within the first 12 months of joining
-Must have a valid North Dakota driver's license
-Incomplete Applications will be rejected
